Marine Le Pen is odds-on at 4-6 with leading bookmaker Coral to have the most votes after the first round of the 2017 French Presidential election when the results are revealed tomorrow evening. The Front National leader has been cut into 5-2 (from 7-2) in the last 24 hours to become the next French president following a flurry of bets for the far right candidate. Emmanuel Macron remains the odds-on favourite at 8-11 to come out on top, while Francois Fillon is 4-1.

“What is interesting is that Marine Le Pen is the odds-on favourite to have the most votes when the first round results are revealed. The betting suggests it will then be a two-horse race between the Front National leader and Emmanuel Macron,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“It’s been all one-way-traffic for Le Pen in the French election betting over the last few days, however, she would still be the underdog going into the final round just like Donald Trump was when he came up against Hilary Clinton in the United States last year,” added Hill.
