Al Wukair slashed for Guineas glory after Djebel stroll

| 10.04.2017

Coral has slashed Al Wukair to 8-1 (from 16-1) for the Qipco 2,000 Guineas, after the Andre Fabre-trained colt ran out an impressive winner of this afternoon’s Prix Djebel.

“Churchill remains a strong 5-4 favourite for the season’s opening Classic, ahead of his stablemate Caravaggio at 7-1 (from 11-2), but in Al Wukair the Ballydoyle colts look set to face a formidable rival at Newmarket next month,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

Switching codes, Sizing Gold is the sponsor’s 11-8 favourite to follow up last month’s Cheltenham Gold Cup success in the Coral Punchestown Gold Cup, with Djakadam the 10-3 second favourite and Coneygree next at 13-2.
