Hard-hitting midweek six-fold

What a Tuesday of major sport we have ahead, and by the time punters turn their attentions to football, day one of the Cheltenham Festival will already be in the books. Click here to place all your bets at Coral.

We have put together six of the best to make a lively accumulator from the Champions League and English football leagues. Every £5 invested pays £324.85, with prices and returns mentioned all correct at the time of writing. Read on as we glance through the list.

Juventus beat Porto

Juventus put this tie to bed at the first opportunity, beating Porto 2-0 on their own patch. Victory for the Italian giants was probably to be expected before the off, but they achieved the desired result with minimal fuss, and that impressed everyone, not least odds compilers.

The locals won’t go hunting for another win, they will do what they must to go through, and no more, as is their style, but they will want to go out and impress in front of their own support. Juventus warmed up for Tuesday with a dramatic 2-1 win over AC Milan at the weekend. 4/6 looks a very fair price indeed.

Leicester beat Sevilla

Few gave Leicester a chance of getting anything over in Spain in the first-leg, and they nearly didn’t, but Jamie Vardy’s goal on 73-minutes threw them a real lifeline and that away goal will give home fans cause to dream.

Much has changed since that 2-1 defeat, with Claudio Ranieri sacked – player power to blame apparently – which led to The Foxes finding their scoring boosts again. Leicester have won each of their last two Premier League matches, beating Liverpool and Hull 3-1. What they wouldn’t do for a hat-trick of 3-1 wins. We’re having them to get the victory at 9/4.

Fulham beat Blackburn

Two teams with an awful lot to play for, at opposite ends of the table. The Cottagers are unbeaten in seven Championship starts, winning five in that time, including a hugely impressive 3-1 over Newcastle on Saturday. Victory here moves them into the promotion spots, switching places with struggling Sheffield Wednesday. We make them a strong play at 1/2.

Italy Soccer Serie A

Brentford beat Wolves

It’s really easy to oppose Wolves at the minute. They did pick-up a rare victory last time, but that was against Rotherham, who are bottom of the league and in hopeless form. I prefer to judge them on five defeats and a draw from their last seven. Brentford are no world beaters, but they have won three and drawn one of their last five, and jump aboard at 5/4.

Sheffield United beat Swindon

Top of the league Sheffield United aim to push on with their title charge, and look to have every chance of bagging a 22nd win of the season when meeting an opponent who are stuck deep in the relegation zone. The Blades hammered Swindon 4-0 in December, and we should see something similar here. 8/13 does a job.

Bolton beat Gillingham

The right set of results could lift Bolton up into the top-two, and there’s still plenty of life left in the League One promotion race. Bolton have lost just one of their last eight, but they will have to be on top of their game to beat a stubborn Gillingham. The Trotters look overpriced at 6/5, so we give them a go.
