Norwich beat Bristol City
The Canaries have been a bit hit-and-miss this season, and every time they threaten to get their promotion push back on track, they’re caught with another clumsy performance. They are winless in four, but have a perfect chance to get back on track against a poor Bristol City side who are in the relegation zone, and have won just one of their last 10. 6/4 seems very generous.
Huddersfield beat Aston Villa
The Terriers failed to make Brighton pay for a recent slip up and have taken just one point from the last six available to them. Opponents Aston Villa have been seen improving of late, winning each of their last three, but that’s not quite as impressive when we see two of those wins came over sides in the relegation zone. A home win makes sense at 19/20.
Brighton beat Rotherham
The Seagulls have shot themselves in the foot with regards to their chances of winning the title, losing their last two, including a 2-1 to rivals Newcastle. They are still very much on-course for a top-two finish, and have the ideal chance to pick up a much-needed win against bottom of the league. Rotherham are winless in nine, losing eight, and are easy to oppose at 1/2.
Sheff Weds beat Burton
Wednesday have a five-point cushion over Fulham in the promotion play-off places, but they can’t take anything for granted here. The Owls go in having hammered Norwich 5-1 last time out, and will fancy their chances vs Burton, who are without a win in three. Burton are making themselves difficult to break down, in an attempt to avoid relegation, but Wednesday have the class to get the points at 4/6.
Barcelona beat PSG
Barca were well-beaten in the first-leg, meaning that they must attack PSG from the whistle if they are to overturn a four-goal deficit. The locals do, of course, have the firepower to get the job done, but they will need a record-breaking performance. We have them to win in 90-minutes at 4/9.
Dortmund beat Benfica
Dortmund don’t have the same problems, but they are 1-0 down on aggregate, and must even that up sharpish. On their own patch they’re fancied to get the job done, and warmed up for this with a 6-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen. That’ll be the perfect tonic, and we go in at 4/11.
Man City beat Stoke
The lone Premier League tie in midweek, as Man City host Stoke in their game in hand. A win would move them above Spurs into second, and The Citizens prepare in fantastic shape, having won each of their last three league goes. They’ve scored four against Stoke in each of the last two meetings between the teams, and should win at a canter again. 1/4 serves a purpose.
Raith beat St Mirren
Lastly, third-bottom plays bottom in the Scottish Championship. Raith have completely fallen apart this season, but St Mirren have been poor from the off, and have become good at it. On their own pitch I am giving Rovers the nod at 8/5.
