Best five from the domestic action

There’s another round of international matches in midweek, before we return to the Premier League and normality at the weekend. Until then the UK lower leagues throw punters a bone, with matches taking place from League One, League Two and the Scottish divisions.

Click here to bet on all of Tuesday’s football, or read on as we run through our best five-fold. Every £10 down returns £302.90, if we are on the money, with prices and returns correct at the time of writing. Let’s pick through each leg…..

Sheffield United beat Millwall

League One leaders Sheffield United are cruising to the title, and enter this match on a fantastic 10-match unbeaten run. The Blades had to settle for a draw with Oldham at the weekend however, fighting back to finish 1-1. That share brought an end to a three-match winning run, but wouldn’t have dented confidence too much. Millwall are fighting for a play-off finish, but have failed to win any of their last three, drawing vs Bury and Rochdale before losing to Swindon last time – a  side in the relegation zone. Sheffield United start us off at 4/6.

Rochdale beat AFC Wimbledon

Rochdale are two wins behind Southend United and the top-six. They remain in the hunt to extend their season, but time is running out and they need to get moving. A run of wins would solve all their problems. Dale have suffered just three defeats in their last 10, and are unbeaten in three. That recent purple patch includes two wins, over Gillingham and Chesterfield, both by a comfortable margin. AFC have won just one of their last five and were beaten 3-0 by Rochdale here last season.

Accrington beat Cambridge

Accrington prepare for game 39 down in 15th, but they are an improving side and go into this test in great shape, unbeaten in 10 starts, and were last seen grafting to a draw with Grimsby Town. McCartan netted a last-minute leveller that day, but they’ll take more from wins over Barnet, Exeter and Leyton, all achieved without conceding a goal. Opponents Cambridge are three-places higher in the table, but have won just two of their last six. We take a punt on Stanley at 6/5.

Dundee United beat Ayr United

Dundee United need the win over Ayr United on Tuesday. A horrible 2017 has seen them fall off the pace and they are now 14 points behind leaders Hibs. The Arabs have lost each of their last three, but have been given a perfect chance to steady the ship when hosting second-bottom Ayr United. This is the third meeting between these sides this season, with Dundee United winning the previous two, scoring four goals in the process. The 4/9 on the selection does a job.

East Fife beat Albion Rovers

Dropping into the Scottish League One and East Fife are picked to beat Albion. They sit fourth, in the play-off places, but have plenty of work to do to safeguard that spot. Albion Rovers are just a point better than the relegation zone, losing three and drawing one of their last five. East Fife won 2-0 when these sides last met, and go in at 6/5.
