Bet of the day: Spurs at a canter

Londoners welcome Stoke on Sunday
Tottenham roll out the red carpet for Stoke City in the one match from the Premier League on Sunday, with a 1.30pm kick-off set to receive the Sky Sports live TV treatment.
Coral have a number of ways in which you can make your viewing pay, including match winner and first goal scorer – otherwise known as how long will it take Harry Kane to find the net.
The locals go into the weekend on the back of a hurtful exit from the Europa League, suffered on Thursday, when losing 3-2 on aggregate to Gent. That doesn’t read too well on paper, but exit from Europe’s second-string competition isn’t the end of the world for Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for the season, and fans will surely get over it too. At the very least, it’ll free up some time to focus on a top-four finish and return to the Champions League.

Stats suggest a big Spurs win
Spurs have had plenty of reasons to cheer domestically however, and go into the weekend’s round of fixtures up in third-place, two points behind Man City in second and, more importantly, ahead of bitter rivals Arsenal on goal-difference. If it is taken as a given that Chelsea have already won the league – and it’s certainly looking that way – then Tottenham will aim to finish in the top-four, as high up the rankings as possible, certainly ahead of The Gunners.
Harry Kane and co are betting favourites to add another three points on Sunday, with Coral offering 2/5 that they get the desired result. That will come as little surprise to punters, with the jollies running out 4-0 winners when facing Stoke earlier this season. Each of the last two meetings with The Potters have, in fact, finished 4-0, and a repeat in the correct score market is 16/1 with us.
Hosts on the handicap
We’re not quite as bold as that in our Sunday bet of the day, but I do expect another solid Spurs win and will have them -1 goal on the handicap at the 23/20 currently available. That would have been a winning bet in two of Stoke’s last three defeats, which adds confidence.
Heung-Min Son bagged a double when these sides last met, and can be tried at a value 17/10 to net again here in the anytime scorer market.
