Bet of the day: Goals in Glasgow

The stats support both to score
We drop in on the action at Ibrox this Saturday afternoon for our bet of the day. A black and blue Rangers welcome Ross County to Govan for a 3.00pm kick-off that has the natives nervous.
We saw another nail hammered into Mark Warburton’s coffin in midweek when Rangers were, once again, completely dominated by Hearts in Edinburgh. The final score, a 4-1 Jambos win, was hard to stomach for Bears fans, but it could, and probably should, have been more.

Bears giving fans a sore head
Last season’s Championship winners, now plying their trade in the Premiership, were expected to challenge Celtic for the title, but they now find themselves a massive 25-points behind The Bhoys. They have won just one of their last four, the spare vs Motherwell, and that run includes a 2-1 home defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Many in the home support believe English manager Mark Warburton has taken the club as far as he is going to. His signings are well below the level required to play for Rangers, and anything good out of Ibrox this season has come through old dog Kenny Miller. Things would certainly be a lot worse without him. At the other end of the park and the defence have conceded 25 goals in 23 games.
Ross County unbeaten vs Rangers
Opponents Ross County start down in eighth-place, having lost their last two, but they are unbeaten in two against Rangers this season, thanks to a pair of draws. They finished 0-0 when last visiting Ibrox, but have had no trouble finding the net of late, and go into this one having scored in five of their last six starts.
Punters predicting an upset can get a tempting 11/2 on the away day with us, while Rangers start as 1/2 favourites for the points. A third draw between the pair this season is difficult to ignore at 7/2.
Stats suggest a strong bet
The punt I am most interested in however is both teams to score at 3/4. That has been the case in four of Rangers last five starts, in all competitions, and in five of The Staggies’ last six. Add to that the fact Ross County have netted 13 goals during that time and we have a bet of the day on our hands.
