Top-two sides in La Liga clash to spark your Sunday evening to life

The top-two ranked sides in La Liga clash on Sunday evening in the bill-topper from match-day 18. Zinedine Zidane takes his hard-hitting Real Madrid side to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium where plucky underdogs Sevilla bare their teeth.

Here at Coral towers we’ve put on a feast of betting markets to help boost your enjoyment of the match. The only thing better than a big-game, is a winning bet in a big-game! Let’s look at where the smart money goes…..

Jorge Sampaoli’s Sevilla are aiming high this season

Sevilla turning up the heat

Sevillistas go into the round on 36-points, one better than a stuttering Barcelona and only four behind their visitors. With Real having a game-in-hand, as well as that points advantage, everyone in the home dressing room will be well-versed on the importance of giving nothing away.

Lead by head coach Jorge Sampaoli – the 56-year-old famous for making it to the final-three of the 2015 World Coach of the Year award, eventually won by Barcelona’s Luis Enrique – Sevilla’s CV for the season reads 11 wins and three draws against just three defeats. Two of those negatives have come in their last 10, against Barcelona and Granada, both by a 2-1 score, but they’ll take heart from a hat-trick of wins in their last three starts, beating Celta Vigo, Malaga and Real Sociedad, all with plenty to spare.

With two of that trio coming without conceding a goal, and all by a three-goal margin, at least, supporters of the locals will be enthused to see Coral offering a heavyweight 15/2 on Sevilla to win to nil, or 7/1 for -1 on the handicap. The home win trades at 5/2, regardless of how that’s achieved.

Real Madrid feature among 2016/17 Champions League Group F tips

Zidane has led his side to an undefeated start

Madrid oozing class out in front

Real Madrid have made a bit of a mockery of what has been an otherwise competitive start to the 2016/17 campaign. Defending champions Barcelona have lost just twice so far, but are five points off the tempo set by their old rivals.

Undefeated in their first 16, Blancos have racked up a dozen wins, eight from their last 10. Zidane’s side fought for a 1-1 vs Barcelona in early December at the Camp Nou with a last-minute strike from Ramos scrubbing out a Suarez opener.

They returned to winning ways in La Liga with a hard-fought 3-2 over Deportivo and oozed class when demolishing Granada 5-0 last weekend. A 3-2 win vs Sevilla in the Super Cup back in August, and 3-0 hammering in the first-leg of the Copa Del Rey recently, are further hints for those hot on the away team, and we’re giving 20/23 Real win again.

Back Blancos to nick a cracker

This promises to be a gripping game of football, from one of the best leagues in the world, but it’s difficult to oppose Real Madrid in their current shape. The away win looks tempting, but punters after a bit more may want to play Real win and both teams to score at 21/10.

Not a bad offer, when you consider that both have scored in each of the last three meetings of the sides at this venue.
