Coral’s bet of the day for January 13th comes from cracking Scott Waites v Danny Noppert odds.

This clash between the BDO king and the man that looks a tasty chance to dethrone him should be a thriller that goes down to the wire. So, read on to find out why we reckon this bet of the day for Friday, January 13th could turn out to be a lucky tip for punters…

Noppy to triumph 5-4 at 5/1

Having only been with the BDO since 2012, deadly Dutchman Noppert has made a real dent in the darting world by ranking number four in his present arrow organisation and reaching the business end of several majors.

Many have tipped this to be the year Noppy nets his first big BDO silverware, and he’s certainly made a promising start at Lakeside.

So far the 26-year-old tungsten talent has dispatched the unfortunately named David Cameron and Richard Veenstra as expected, to be one of the last eight arrowsmiths standing – but he has done so with aplomb.

Noppert has so far dropped just one set from eight, whitewashed countryman Flyers last time out, and has also notched the highest average of the tournament so far with a sensational 98.06.

To put that in perspective, that is much higher than Yorkshireman Waites’ 90.54 and still more than Scotty 2 Hotty’s highest average of 96.06 in his successful 2016 BDO Worlds campaign.

Bradford-born chucker Waites has won this tournament twice before, but did have a tougher time against last 16 opponent McGeeney than tipped, dropping two sets from six.

So, although the Englishman won’t be an easy target, odds of 5/1 for bright star Noppy to edge it 5-4 look promising.
