£5 pays £144 in our Thursday evening acca

We preview the best of the action to get your weekend off on the winning foot

Thursday heralds the start of the weekend for students and punters and the football experts at Coral offer up our views on a nice-priced accumulator to get you off on the winning foot.

As well as the main feature of the evening, an intriguing Championship tussle at the Madejski, there’s also cup action from across Europe to keep us interested, including Coppa Italia and Copa Del Rey.

Times are tough in January, as we count the cost of the festive period, but staking just €/£5 on our Thursday evening accumulator could return a helpful €/£144.30 at the current odds on offer. That would certainly go some way to getting us back on an even keel.

Read on as we discuss each leg of this five-fold acca (all to win in 90 minutes). Prices and returns are correct at the time of writing…..

Hoops hopeless away form to continue

Reading can get the jump on their promotion rivals with a Thursday night outing at the Madejski Stadium. Jaap Stam’s side were battered from pillar to post at Old Trafford in the FA Cup, but they have won each of their last three Championship outings and head the play-off places in third.

The visitors were seen on a miserable six-match losing run last year, making the high-flying Royals easy to back for what would be their 15th league win of the season at Coral’s 10/11.

Milan make a worthy addition

AC Milan put three past Torino when last hosting in Serie A and punters can take confidence from the head-to-head record between these two, with Torino managing to win just two of 35 previous encounters.

Granata haven’t recorded an away win vs Milan in over 16-years. That, added to the fact AC have lost only one of their last eight Serie A outings, makes the 11/10 about another cheer for Vincenzo Montella’s side look a real piece of value.

Success breeds success

Real Madrid are in absolute command of the La Liga title race at present and look to add cup success to their form. Zinedine Zidane’s side have already beaten Seville twice this season, winning 3-2 in the European Super Cup before battering them 3-0 in the first leg at Santiago Bernabeu.

The danger is that they will take their eye off the ball in the opinion that the job is done, but Madrid have shown no mercy so far and look likely to go and boost their stock with another big effort. The 29/20 about an away win is a real punter-friendly price.

Osasuna’s woes to continue

Osasuna are rock-bottom of La Liga and followers look to have a long, difficult season ahead, with very little to cheer about. A single league win managed in their first 17 starts, with -21 in the goal-difference tally, gives a clearer picture of what they are facing.

Slapped with a 3-0 defeat on their own patch in the first-leg only last Tuesday suggests they are in for another backs-to-the-wall evening when travelling to Eibar. The hosts don’t get enough success of their own to afford to look beyond this one. Coral’s 4/7 will prove difficult to ignore. That looks tailor-made for accas.

Vigo value for the win

After an uninspiring midtable finish last season, Valencia now find themselves in trouble down in 17th-place, just five-points better than bottom-club Osasuna after 16-outings. They do have a game-in-hand over those around them, but one win in 10 hardly inspires punters to trust Los Che with their hard-earned cash.

Celta Vigo are certainly no world-shakers themselves, but they have beaten Thursday’s opponents twice already this term, following a 2-1 league win at Balaidos with a 4-1 first-leg thumping at the Mestalla, and would love to give their fans more of the same at 20/23.
