Our football experts have picked out a 10-fold to boost your balance. Odds mentioned are correct at the time of writing

Man Utd beat Stoke

The Red Devils could only snatch a point at home to Liverpool last weekend, but that came on the back of six wins in-a-row and, for the first time in a while, confidence is back in the Manchester United side. Built off a miserly defence, Mourinho’s boys are performing and start us off at 8/13.

West Brom beat Sunderland

Always a difficult side to get right, West Brom’s last four wins have all come against opponents in the bottom-eight of the division, and all by a comfortable margin. Sunderland are joint-bottom and have conceded 12-goals in their last four starts. Baggies bounce into the pile at 4/6.

Tottenham beat Man City

The stats supported an Everton win to nil last week, and they are right behind a Spurs victory here too. The Londoners have beaten City in each of their last three meetings, including a 2-1 at this venue last February. It’s a bold pick at 5/2, but one I’m happy to risk.

Newcastle beat Rotherham

Newcastle have been seen collapsing in front of their own fans under the weight of expectation already this season, but surely they have enough to get past bottom-club Rotherham. The Millers have conceded 56-goals so far, while Newcastle have rattled in 50. Coral’s 1/4 does a job.

Nottingham Forest beat Bristol City

Forest are no great shakes, and we will go against them more often than not, but this is a big match in their season against an opponent who have lost each of their last seven. It won’t be pretty, but I take the Tricky Trees at 6/4 to edge it.

Sheffield United beat Gillingham

Sheffield United slipped up last time, but they remain in pole position in League One and manager Chris Wilder has them fearless at the minute. The Blades won the reverse of this fixture on the road, and can do the same here at 4/11.

Doncaster beat Crewe

Another league leader in Doncaster from the level below and they have been even more impressive so far. Darren Ferguson’s side go in unbeaten in six, five wins and a draw, and meet a Crewe who haven’t won in eight, six defeats and two draws. Trust the hard stats here at 4/7.

Dundee beat St Mirren

The Saints are bottom of the Championship and looking like a relegated side in every sense of the word. They have been performing like a bunch of strangers of late and, against Premiership opposition, are easy to oppose. Dundee are capable enough at 1/2.

Ross County beat Dundee United

Another Premiership vs Championship clash in the Scottish Cup and, although United are pushing for promotion, they’ve won only one of their last five. Staggies beat Aberdeen recently and, when in the mood, are a match for any side. 20/23, we’ll have that.

Dunfermline beat Alloa

The Pars are one of the form sides in Scottish football at the minute, winning four and drawing four of their last eight. That run has dragged them from relegation contenders to the brink of a promotion play-off place. They’ll need every bit of luck here, but are certainly good enough at 23/20.
