Coral’s rumour reel

The January transfer window is quickly approaching and many Premier League clubs are hurriedly planning well ahead with outlined targets for the winter period.

This includes Liverpool among others, with the Reds seeking a new midfield recruit as part of Coral’s latest rumour reel for December 6th.

So read on to see who is going where in the coming months below…

Liverpool lead Kondogbia chase

Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders may have recently conceded top spot of the Premier League table following a shock defeat at the hands of Bournemouth, but they have still been one of the most impressive sides so far this season.

The Reds are enjoying plenty of success going forward with the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane starring, though they are reportedly close to agreeing a loan deal for Inter Milan midfield anchorman Geoffrey Kondogbia to boost their central positions.

It’s believed that the San Siro club are unhappy with the 23-year-old’s performances in Italy this term and are happy to offload him on loan in January, with the view to a permanent deal included for an eventual £18.5m.

As Liverpool lead the Kondogbia chase, they will be happy to oversee his arrival at Anfield, with plenty of other top-flight clubs having previously been linked with his services, as Klopp aims to strengthen and maintain their title challenge.

Aubameyang alerts Man City

Borussia Dortmund hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has long been tipped for a move to the Premier League and has recently opened the door for such a switch from Germany, putting Manchester City on red alert.

The Gabon international finisher earlier admitted his father had held talks with the Sky Blues regarding a possible transfer but it came to nothing, though his stock has continued to rise since with 18 goals this season already.

Aubameyang, now 27 years of age, is contracted to Dortmund until 2020 but has stated: “I don’t know if I will stay. I just think about playing good football right now. I want to give my best and win titles. I just think about the sport and nothing else.

“Last year I scored 18 goals before Christmas. I hope I can do better this year. But I also want to focus on the second half of the season.”

Pep Guardiola has long been an admirer of the in-form striker and the Spanish tactician could soon be overseeing his departure from Germany to the Etihad if he gets his own way.
