Coral’s rumour reel
Just what transfer treats await behind December 11’s advent calendar door? Coral’s rumour reel has a sensational Sunday edition in store for football fans, as we lead on a few old favourites. Yes that’s right, Julian Draxler to Arsenal in January could finally happen, but read on to find out which other whispers are doing the rounds too…
Draxler to Arsenal?
It’s one of those rumours that just won’t go away. Some clubs and footballers seem so perfectly matched that it appears inevitable that one day a move will materialise.
Draxler to Arsenal gossip is one such saga, with fans eager to see if this will-they-won’t-they dance with the Wolfsburg player will eventually come to anything, as reports circulate that the German has featured in his last game for his current club and has requested a transfer.

Do the Gunners need another mercurial attacking talent still unsure of his best position and often lacking in end product? Nope, they have Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for that already.
Yet, Draxler’s no goals and not a single assist in 11 Bundesliga appearances this season for Die Wolfe reportedly appeals to Arsene Wenger, who could fork out as much as £30m to boost his Arsenal armoury amid murmurs of contract discontent from star duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
Highly-rated Draxler, 23, undoubtedly has twinkling talent his his toes and enjoyed a promising Euro 2016 with Germany, as well as being a technically gifted Gunners-type player. But, he is yet to live up to his billing and be consistent enough to warrant a place in a title-challenging team. Will Wenger take a gamble on this mooted long-term target?
Dzagoev in Everton transfer?
Despite a great start to the season, Everton have now sunk to ninth in the Premier League and could also attempt to bring in January reinforcements to help ailing coach Ronald Koeman.
Alan Dzagoev, a Russia international long-linked with a PL switch since he emerged at CSKA Moscow, is the man tipped to be top of the Toffees’ list after he scored against Tottenham recently in the Champions League.

The now 26-year-old was once likened to Frank Lampard, and admitted an interest in English football recently, stating:
“I was ready to play in England, ready to move. But CSKA didn’t receive a firm offer.
“I like the English Premier League. So to play for a serious English club would be great for me.”
Everton could offload injury-prone Republic of Ireland deep playmaker James McCarthy, who has been linked with high-flying West Bromwich Albion for a potential £15m move, which would open up squad space for Dzagoev to join.
