Djakadam trimmed for Gold Cup glory after John Durkan repeat

Djakadam is 8-1 (from 10-1) with Coral to go one place better than his runs in the last two Gold Cups, following his second successive victory in Punchestown’s John Durkan Chase this afternoon.

His Willie Mullins-trained stablemate, Douvan, remains 4-7 favourite with Coral for the Queen Mother Champion Chase after a straightforward success at long odds-on at Cork, while the opening winner at that track, Dinaria Des Obeaux, earned a 16-1 opening quote for the JCB Triumph Hurdle.
