Coneygree eased for Cheltenham Gold Cup

| 29.12.2016

Coral has eased Coneygree to 10-1 (from 7-1) for the Gold Cup, after connections said today they face a race against time to get the 2015 winner to Cheltenham.  Thistlecrack heads the Gold Cup betting at evens, ahead of his stablemate Native River at 8-1, while their trainer Colin Tizzard is 3-1 (from 7-2) with Coral for the National Hunt trainers’ title.

“Hopefully Coneygree will line up at Cheltenham in March, but it seems far from certain he will, and at best he will go there without a prep run, and as a result, in-form trainer Colin Tizzard has strengthened his grip on the Gold Cup market,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
