Alastair Cook 10-11 to remain as England captain

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Leading bookmaker Coral make Alastair Cook 10-11 to remain as England captain for the First Test against South Africa on July 6 next year following his side’s 4-0 defeat to India in their winter tour. Cook is 10-11 to leave his position before that home series against South Africa next summer.

“The betting suggests Alastair Cook’s future as England captain is in the balance after this embarrassing defeat in India. He gave no clues in his post-match interview about whether he will stay on or not so a decision may not be made until the New Year,” said Coral’s John Hill.
