Southgate now odds-on to get permanent England job

Gareth Southgate is now odds-on at 1-3 (from 5-4) with bookmaker Coral to be the next permanent England manager following a gamble this morning. Southgate is 9-4 to win his next two games against Scotland and Spain, while England are 4-7 not to lose either of those two ties.

England can be backed at 4-5 to remain unbeaten at the end of their qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, while they are 1-3 to pick up all three points at home to Scotland on Friday evening.
