Despite possessing a potent forward line at Anfield, it appears Jurgen Klopp is looking to add to his midfield attacking riches with Mahmoud Dahoud to Liverpool linked on today’s back pages.

The Syrian-born German Under-20 forward-thinking central midfielder has reportedly been watched by Reds scouts throughout this campaign and January could pose the Merseyside outfit with a real chance to land him.

Dahoud, 20, found the net five times in 32 Bundesliga outings last term and has stepped up a gear this season.

Reports emerging from Germany detail how Klopp will have to cough up £25m to stand a chance of landing Dahoud, as the manager believes he can fit straight into his new look Liverpool.

Potters plot Berahino move?

After having a summer swoop for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino thought to be around £20m, Mark Hughes is hoping to sign the wantaway attacker for about half that with his contract running down.

There are question marks over his attitude, but that hasn’t discouraged Hughes from a sustained pursuit of Berahino.
