West Ham make Mandzukic move

After witnessing his Hammers side struggle in the Premier League so far this current campaign at their new home of the Olympic Stadium, Croatian boss Slaven Bilic has outlined an audacious swoop for a Juventus striker to ease his recent problems.

The east Londoners have been stuttering in front of goal and Bilic sees Juventus frontman and compatriot Mario Mandzukic as the ideal forward to help ease the goalscoring burden on his current misfiring attackers.

West Ham recently sent scouts to watch the towering targetman for Croatia in their clash with Northern Ireland, a player that Bilic worked with during his time as the national team manager. He could soon be reuniting with the poacher as West Ham line up a bid for the Old Lady hitman.

The 30-year-old has two years remaining on his current contract and could be lured away from Turin with an £18m swoop, with West Ham also willing to let Simone Zaza to depart after struggling to settle down in the capital.

Leicester target Ndidi signing

Reigning Premier League champions Leicester City are also reportedly in the market for a new acquisition in the coming months, as Claudio Ranieri looks to bolster his outfit for the rest of term after progressing in the Champions League.

The Foxes impressively secured a spot in the last 16 of Europe’s elite club competition earlier and will look to snap up Genk’s midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

Nigeria international Ndidi has become hot property in Belgium after starring for his club so far this season and the champions are confident of securing his signature ahead of top-flight rivals this coming January.

The 19-year-old may well be seen as the long-term replacement for N’Golo Kante, who departed for Chelsea in the summer, and it’s believed that Genk may be willing to accept up to £16m for their talented teenage enforcer.
