Coral’s Rumuour Reel

A swift look through the Sunday papers shows significant transfer gossip on the back pages when it comes to two Premier League powerhouses.

Tabloid reports claim Liverpool are lining up a deal for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud, while Galatasaray winger Bruma to Man Utd is also a mooted move.

Want to learn more about such speculation? Then you’ve come to the right place as this is Coral’s Rumour Reel for November 13…

Liverpool line up Dahoud deal?

Ever interested in the evolution of his Merseyside outfit, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly asked the board to prepare a £26m bid to bring Syrian-born Germany Under-21 international Dahoud to Anfield.

As Liverpool line up Dahoud deal, what could that mean for other midfielders at Anfield?

Central midfield options are plentiful for the Liverpool manager with current England first-teamers Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana essential in the engine room, but Dahoud is catching the eye in Germany.

Setting up Monchengladbach’s goal in a narrow 2-1 Champions League group stage home defeat to Barcelona elevated the 20-year-old’s profile considerably.

The Reds and Klopp thus seek an early swoop to stop other top sides from turning their pursuit of Dahoud into a bidding war.

While Liverpool line up the Dahoud deal, signing any more midfielders will surely bring an end to long-serving anchorman Lucas Leiva’s time at Anfield. The Brazilian holding player will reach a decade of service to the Kop this winter.

Bruma to Man Utd?

Across the Northwest, meanwhile, rumours of Bruma to Man Utd continue. Ever so often, stories about this potential transfer appear in the press.

Bruma to Man Utd rumours sporadically appear in British papers.

The Guinea-Bissau native winger may appeal to Red Devils boss and fellow Portuguese citizen Jose Mourinho because Bruma is reportedly available for a cut-price £8m.

Scoring four times and setting three other goals up in the Turkish Super Lig for Galatasaray this term so far, pace merchant Bruma is only under contract in Istanbul until the end of next season.

Gala face a tough decision over whether to cash in on the 22-year-old, who has been named in the senior Portugal set-up twice without getting a cap, or let him go for free in future.

Mourinho is understood to be seeking fresh wide options, with constant speculation Memphis Depay will be sold after flopping at Old Trafford.

Bruma to Man Utd certainly looks a bargain buy for ‘the Special One’, but the Sporting Lisbon academy graduate could follow in the daunting footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and, to a lesser extent, Nani.
