The duo tussled in the exact same stage in the World Series Finals in Glasgow earlier in the month, the second round, with Van de Pas being the 6-5 victor before going out to Phil Taylor in the last eight.
On top of that, Big Ben has claimed three of their last four meetings, two of which were this year, and the other was in another premier event – the 2015 Players Championship Finals. All again were in the last 16.

Back Big Ben to belie his match price!
It might be a surprise, therefore, that Wade is still the odds-on favourite, so make sure to snap up this price while you can!
As well as the above facts, Van de Pas won all three of his group stage matches this Grand Slam, including two against former world champions Adrian Lewis and Scott Mitchell, which shows he is more than capable of continuing his fine form.
The Dutchman topped his pool, while Wade could finish just second after losing to already-eliminated Dave Chisnall in his final match.
After averaging 100.90 against Lewis and 95s in his other two fixtures, Van de Pas also ensured that he bettered The Machine’s overall tally so far.
So, what are you waiting for punters? Take this 7/4 price now for Van de Pas just to beat Wade for a great chance of reaping rewards!
