Newbury tips for Friday: One Track Mind to shine on chasing debut
One Track Mind the one to be on at Newbury
One Track Mind makes his eagerly awaited debut over the larger obstacles in the 2m 3f Fuller’s London Pride Novices’ Chase at Newbury (13.35) and is strongly fancied to make it a winning one.
The Warren Greatex trained six-year-old has always been held in high regard and developed into a top class staying hurdler last season.

One Track Mind odds look promising as part of our Newbury tips for Friday.
After landing a competitive handicap at Newbury, the Andy Weller owned gelding ran a stormer to be beaten just 3/4 of a length by multiple Grade 1 winner Reve De Silvola in a Grade 2 contest at Haydock.
Career-best effort at Punchestown
One Track Mind went on to round off the campaign with a career-best performance at the Punchestown Festival when staying on in tremendous style to beat Jennies Jewel by 2 3/4 lengths in the Grade 1 Champion Stayers Hurdle.
Judged on that success he had the potential to win plenty of top races over hurdles this season, but connections have always maintained that his future lies over fences.
One Track Mind has the size and scope to make up into a cracking chaser and can take this en route to much better things.
Jenkins can collect for in-form Henderson
Trainer Nicky Henderson is in fine form at present and Jenkins can provide him with another winner in the 2m maiden hurdle that gets proceedings underway on a cracking seven-race card (12.30).

Nicky Henderson will hope to oversee another success with Jenkins.
The four-year-old put in a stunning performance when making a winning debut at the track last April, leading on the bit two from home before stretching effortlessly clear to score by nine lengths.
Jenkins was sent off odds-on for a bumper at the Punchestown Festival on the back of that stunning success and lost little in defeat when beaten just 1/2 a length by Coeur De Lion.
The front to pulled seven lengths clear of the third home Moulin A Vent who has scored twice since to give the form a rock solid look.
Those runs suggest Jenkins has a huge future over hurdles and Henderson unleashed a similar smart type in Buveur D’air to land the spoils in this 12 months ago.
