Find out which horse Luke Morris is keen on at Wolves this Saturday
In this week’s Luke Morris blog, Coral horse racing ambassador Luke Morris spoke exclusively to us about his Lingfield and Wolverhampton rides on November 19.
It’s been great to be back riding this past week and my agent Neil Allan’s been keeping me busy with lots of rides all over the country, which is exactly what I want. Being busy is how I like to be and having missed a few weeks I’m trying to make up for lost time and get myself back up the jockeys’ table. I’m the defending champion on the all-weather and I won’t be giving up my title without a fight!
Neil and I have worked together since I started and he’s never going to turn down good rides for me so I’m happy when I have a long day like I do on Saturday. We know each other well and get on as friends as well as colleagues and I think that’s a big help.
Neil’s got me booked on 12 horses at Lingfield and Wolverhampton and I hope I’ll come away from the day with a good few winners.
Lingfield rides

All weather champion Luke Morris says he won’t give up his title without a fight.
12.20 Lingfield – Garter
I thought she won nicely on her handicap debut so she was at the right end of the weights when she was starting off. She possibly ran back too quickly on her second handicap start and ran a bit flat. She’s not that much higher than her win, so in a trappy race she must have every chance.
1.25 Lingfield – Carenot
This is her first start for trainer Jeremy Noseda and she looked very progressive earlier this season for William Haggas. She looks like she’s still on the up and has something in hand over the handicapper. As such, I’d like to think she would take all the beating in this, especially as it’s a fillies’ race too.
2.00 Lingfield – Seychelloise
The 7f trip will stretch her out a bit so it’s going to be a case of saving every inch of ground I can on the way round. She likes to front run so a small field suits her well, and while she’s got a bit to find to beat Donjuan Triumphant I think she can put up a bold show.
2.35 Lingfield – Compton Prince
He might just be in the grip of the handicapper. He likes a good pace to run at and he should get the race run to suit. He’s got a solid each-way chance but he’s going to be vulnerable to a horse who’s got a couple of pounds in hand.
Wolverhampton rides

Luke Morris goes through his Wolverhampton rides for November 19 in his latest Coral blog.
5.45 Wolverhampton – Sliceoflife
He was a non-runner last week when he wasn’t quite himself at home. He’s drawn well in stall three and I worked alongside him this week and he seemed in good order. I’d be very hopeful of a good run from him and I think he’s starting off at the right end of the handicap.
6.15 Wolverhampton – Anythingtoday
He’s shown a good-level of form on his two starts so far. He’s not ideally berthed in stall 12, but the experience he has will hopefully stand him in good stead and he can get out and take up a nice position. He’s shown form to put him in with a decent shout, but his win chances will depend on how good some of the debutants are.
6.45 Wolverhampton – Bunker Hill Lass
She got a lot to find at the weights. Even though she’s getting weight of everything else it’s got to be hard for her and she’s one to just watch really.
7.15 Wolverhampton – Binky Blue
She’s a real tough, honest horse with good course form. She seems to be a filly who thrives through the winter and all-weather racing suits her well. She might be in the handicapper’s grip, but she’s drawn well in stall three and she’ll run a solid race. Hopefully that is enough.
7.45 Wolverhampton – Light From Mars
He loves his racing this old boy and he’s as tough as old boots. He holds no secrets from the handicapper as he’s 11 now, but he’s a solid horse and he should have an each-way chance.
8.15 Wolverhampton – Shining Romeo
On form he has a really strong chance. He was only nabbed on the line last time out and if he stays the trip then I think he’ll be tough to beat.
8.45 Wolverhampton – Social Media
She’s a well-bred filly so connections will be keen for her to win. She’s stepping up in trip to 2m and in a race of exposed horses she might still have some improvement. She’ll need to improve to take a hand though.
9.15 Wolverhampton – Billyoakes
He’s one of those horses who’s quite well handicapped but that’s because he’s probably a bit of a thinker. If he brings his best form to the race then he’s got every chance of winning, but it depends on which Billyoakes gets out of bed that morning.
Cheers,
Luke
