Ed Balls is the 5-6 odds-on favourite with leading bookmaker Coral to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing this weekend. Robert Rinder can be backed at 6-4 with the firm to depart, while Claudia Fragapane is 7-1 to leave.

Danny Mac remains odds-on at 5-6 to lift the Glitterball trophy after he received a full house from the judges for the second consecutive week, however, Louise Redknapp is now much closer at the top of the outright market at 2-1 on the back of her performance.

“The betting suggests Ed Balls’ surprising run on Strictly Come Dancing this year could be coming to an end this weekend as he is odds-on to be eliminated, with Robert Rinder most likely to be in the dance-off with the former Shadow Chancellor,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Danny Mac and Louise Redknapp both had strong performances again this evening and the two dancers are now a long way clear of the rest of the pack in the outright market for the Glitterball trophy,” added Hill.
