Wayne Rooney is 6-4 with leading bookmaker Coral to leave Manchester United before the end of the 2017 summer transfer window after the England international was left out of Jose Mourinho’s squad for the trip to Chelsea today, while the United forward is 1-2 to remain at Old Trafford once next summer’s window shuts.

Coral is betting on Rooney’s next club in which any MLS club is joint-top of the betting at 6-4 along with any Chinese club which can also be backed at 6-4.

“Although Wayne Rooney is no longer a regular in the Manchester United starting line-up, we still make him odds-on to remain at Old Trafford at the end of the 2017 summer transfer window,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“We are betting on Rooney’s next club and the odds suggest the England captain’s future could be abroad as any MLS or Chinese club sit at the top of the market,” added Hill.
