Champions League tips for Tuesday

The Champions League is back and the Premier League representatives in Europe’s elite club competition will be aiming to kick on in their ventures after recently making a return to domestic duties.

That includes Tottenham and reigning top-flight champions Leicester City, with the pair preparing to face Bayer Leverkusen and FC Copenhagen respectively as part of an action-packed Tuesday night of group stage fixtures.

So ahead of the latest European tussles, Coral outline Champions League tips for Tuesday for punters to ponder this midweek. Enjoy…

Tottenham to topple Leverkusen 1-0

Mauricio Pochettino has set his Spurs side up strongly so far this season, having tasted defeat just once to Monaco in all competitions, and they will enter their meeting with Leverkusen full of confidence.

The only other ever match-up with their German opponents ended in 1-0 win, while the Londoners also earned the same result over CSKA Moscow last time out in Europe. So back Tottenham at 10/1 to secure another narrow 1-0 triumph on their travels to the BayArena.

Leicester to down Copenhagen to nil

Top tier champions Leicester have struggled domestically during the defence of their crown, but they are relishing being underdogs once again in the Champions League, having won both their first ever outings in the competition.

After impressive victories over Club Brugge and Porto without conceding, the Foxes can be backed for another successful outing to nil at a promising 2/1, as they aim to make it three wins on the trot.

Aubameyang to be Dortmund’s first scorer

Borussia Dortmund had been enjoying a truly rampant run of form up until their draw with Real Madrid, having now gone three games on the bounce without a victory. Sporting Lisbon may see this as a great chance to capitalise as a result.

Although, despite the Black and Yellows having hit somewhat of a blip, clinical frontman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is still banging the goals in. He has now struck eight in 10 appearance on all fronts this term and enters at a tasty 7/4 price to be the first Dortmund goalscorer in Lisbon.

Bonucci to net anytime against Lyon

Dominant Italian champions Juventus won their last trip to Lyon 1-0 when a Leonardo Bonucci goal was enough to separate the sides and the towering set-piece threat is a promising 17/2 to get on the scoresheet again anytime here.

In an away encounter for the 2015 European finalists, free-kicks and corners are set to play a crucial role in them gaining away success on French soil, and Bonucci could yet prove decisive again.

Real Madrid to win with -5 handicap

Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid are so undefeated this season on all fronts and enter this latest European group stage encounter on the back of a 6-1 domestic demolition of Real Betis. Their opponents Legia Warsaw were also thrashed 6-0 by Dortmund previously in Europe.

The reigning Champions League winners look likely of producing another rampant showing this time around with all of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale in top form. So backing the Galacticos at -5.0 in the handicap market with odds of 14/5 should prove prosperous this Tuesday night.

If Dortmund can overcome the visiting Polish side, then there’s no reason why defending champions Los Blancos can’t secure a win of 6-0 or more as part of our Champions League tips for Tuesday.
