Sam Allardyce has opened up as the 2-1 favourite with leading bookmaker Coral to be the next Wolves manager after Walter Zenga was sacked from his post at Molineux this afternoon. Marco Silva is second best in the early betting at 3-1, while Nigel Pearson can be backed at 16-1.

“The betting suggests Sam Allardyce could be making a quick return to management following his nightmare dismissal from the England national team as we make him the early favourite to be the next permanent Wolves manager,” said Coral’s John Hill.
