Chepstow tips for Sunday: Coo Star Sivola the Persian War punt
Sivola to turn on the style in Persian War Novices’ Hurdle
Coo Star Sivola has some solid form to his name and looks the answer to the Grade 2 Persian War Novices’ Hurdle on a competitive eight-race card at Chesptow (16.30).
The gelding shaped with promise in two runs in France and ran a blinder on debut for trainer Nick Williams when beaten just 1/2 a length in a Grade 2 contest at Cheltenham.
Coo Star Sivola was then far from disgraced when third to Adrien Du Pont over 2m in a Grade 1 at this venue before rounding off the campaign with a career-best effort when a 3/4 length third of 22 to Diego Du Charmil in the ultra-competitive Fred Winter Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Nick Williams can grab a winner with Coo Star Sivola and it features in our Chepstow tips for Sunday.
The four-year-old led over the last in the latter before weakening late on to lose second in the shadows of the post and the form of that race sets a clear standard in this line-up.
Coo Star Sivola also looks the type who should have more to offer this season and hails from a yard that does well with its runners at the track. They know what is required to win the race having saddled Reve de Sivola to land the spoils in 2009.
Prussian Eagle weighted to strike
In the 2m handicap hurdle (15.25), Prussian Eagle is a fascinating contender of his first start for trainer Evan Williams and looks worth a punt having dropped to a handy mark.
The five-year-old had some useful form when trained in Ireland by Charles O’Brien, including when a staying on three length second to Buisness Sivola in a Grade 3 contest at Fairyhouse off an official rating of 134.
That represents strong form in the context of this contest and Prussian Eagle is able to race in it off 4lb lower.
It makes the selection weighted to run a huge race on the pick of his form and Prussian Eagle is now with a yard that loves nothing more than to have a winner at this venue.

Evan Williams will hope Prussian Eagle van provide him with a winner as part of our Chepstow tips for Sunday.
Willims has a strike rate of just under 20 per cent at the Welsh track in the past 12 months and backing all his runners would have produced a terrific profit of £38.78 to a £1 level stake.
Splash Of Ginge each-way value
Former Queen Mother Champion Chase hero Sire De Grugy returns to action in the 2m 2f handicap chase (16.00) but faces now easy task under top weight and Splash Ginge looks a lively outsider and decent each-way value.
The eight-year-old, who hails from the in-form yard of Nigel Twiston-Davies, enjoyed his finest hour when landing a valuable class 1 contest at Cheltenham in January 2015 off a mark of 145.
Splash Of Ginge got put up to 153 for that success and the extra weight proved to much for him and resulted his form tailing-off.
However, the John Neild owned gelding now returns to action off a reduced rating of 140 which is a career-low over fences.
It gives Splash Of Ginge major claims from a handicapping perspective in this class 2 contest, especially as he has just 10st to carry and receives weight from all bar one of his rivals.
