Almanzor heads Champion Stakes betting as Ascot fields take shape

Almanzor is 13-8 favourite with Coral for Saturday’s QIPCO Champion Stakes, ahead of the Arc heroine Found at 7-2 and last year’s winner Fascinating Rock, 5-1, following the latest entry stage for the Group One showpiece.

In the QIPCO Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, Ribchester heads the betting at 9-4, with Minding next at 3-1, while the latter’s stablemates Order Of St George and Seventh Heaven are evens and 5-2 respectively for the QIPCO Long Distance Cup and QIPCO British Champions Fillies’ & Mares’ Stakes.

Finally, recent Chantilly winner Limato is Coral’s 2-1 favourite for the QIPCO British Champions Sprint, ahead of Quiet Reflection at 7-2.

John Hill
