Wolverhampton tips: Al holds all the aces, Bush Beauty each-way value
David Metcalf | September 27, 2016
Al weighted to get back to winning ways
Trainer Luca Cumani does well with his runners at Wolverhampton and Al can provide him with another winner in the extended 1m 5f handicap on this evening’s card at the Midlands venue (19.40).
The in-form Newmarket handler has a strike rate of 26 per cent at the track in recent seasons and in Al has a four-year-old who has become well-treated.
Al looked a handicapper to keep onside when storming to a seven-length success at Newmarket 14 months ago and went on to run a blinder to finish a 4 1/4 lengths seventh of 18 to Polarisation in the valuable class 2 Melrose Stakes over 1m 6f at York off a mark of 82.

Luca Cumani will hope to have a winner in Al, and the latter features in Coral’s Wolverhampton racing tips.
The gelding has failed to get his head in front in four subsequent outings and it’s fair to say that he has been disappointing on the whole.
However, Al did run well when third in a class 3 contest at Newmarket on seasonal reappearance and was far from disgraced last time out when a staying on fourth over 1m 4f at Leicester.
The step back up in trip looks sure to suit and Al appears to be the one to beat in this class 4 contest off a reduced rating of 80, especially judged on his run in the Melrose off 2lb higher.
Bush Beauty each-way value
Bush Beauty has a good record at the track and looks decent each-way value in the 7f handicap (18.10).
The Eric Alston trained mare is a four-time course winner, with the last of those successes coming back in October off a mark of 61.
Bush Beauty has since gone on to land a handicap at Chester back in June by seven lengths and ran well on her penultimate outing at Haydock when third off 70.

Bush Beauty could prove a success at Wolverhampton.
The five-year-old also shaped far better than the bare result suggests last time out over course and distance when a 6 1/2 length sixth of 12 to Brick Lane after getting hampered at the start and staying on late from an uncompromising position.
Bush Beauty has since been drop 3lb to a mark of 63, just 2lb higher than when last successful at the venue, and is a three-time winner under young rider Sophie Killoran whose claim takes another 7lb of her back.
