Willie Mullins eased for UK Trainers’ Title

| 28.09.2016

Willie Mullins has been eased to 3-1 (from 6-5) second favourite for the UK National Hunt trainers’ championship by Coral, after the Irish champion lost 60 Gigginstown House Stud owned horses from his yard today.  As a result, reigning champion Paul Nicholls has been cut to 1-3 (from 5-6) to retain the title, with Nicky Henderson priced at 6-1, and Colin Tizzard available at 25-1.

“Willie Mullins came close to landing a first British trainers’ title last season, and there was very little between him and Paul Nicholls in the betting for this season’s championship before the Gigginstown news broke, but losing 60 horses appears to have swung the balance firmly back in Nicholls’ favour,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

**NH Trainers’ Championship

1-3 P Nicholls, 3 W Mullins, 6 N Henderson, 25 Colin Tizard, 33 D Skelton, 40 P Hobbs, 66 D Pipe, J O’Neill
