The English top-flight returned after the international break for its fourth instalment of thrills and spills, and featured some fantastic individual performances.
With this in mind, Coral football writers have picked out their Premier League team of matchweek four. Read on to discover who made the XI…
Formation: 4-4-2 (wide diamond)
Goalkeeper: Artur Boruc (Bournemouth)

Fresh off the back of saving a penalty in the Cherries’ last clash, the sometimes erratic Poland goalie, followed it up with a stellar performance against West Bromwich Albion.
Boruc’s clean sheet helped Eddie Howe’s outfit claim their first win of the new league season and performed a couple of crucial saves from Saido Berahino and Gareth McAuley with instinctive stops from close range.
Right back: Kyle Walker (Tottenham)

England’s right back put in an impressive display in a 4-0 triumph over Stoke City. Walker registered a second clean sheet this term and assisted Dele Alli’s goal with a ferociously fast break from his own box.
Centre back: Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham)

Alderweireld built upon his shutout in Belgium’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cyprus, by following hit up with another for Spurs.
Solid and guileful, the Belgian was never particularly tested and dealt with danger expertly.
Centre back: Steve Cook (Bournemouth)

With the help of his defensive partner Simon Francis, Cook calmly guided the south coast club to a first clean sheet and patrolled his box, ready to snuff out any sniff of an attacking move.
Left back: Aleksandar Kolarov (Manchester City)

When Pep Guardiola took over, the Serb was thought to be in danger of heading towards to exit door. Now, he seems indispensable.
Far from tiki-taka, Kolarov hoofed the ball forward in a move that saw the Sky Blues take the lead over rivals Manchester United, and troubled Antonio Valencia down the left flank all game.
Defensive midfield: Etienne Capoue (Watford)

The former Tottenham man has now scored three goals in four league appearances this term, after netting just one in his previous 57 in the Premier League.
Not only did he find the net, but also provided an assist in a 4-2 win over West Ham United, coming back from 2-0 down.
Right wing: Son Heung-Min (Tottenham)

South Korea international Son, put in a dazzling performance in a Spurs steamroller over Stoke. The £22m forward bagged a brace and staked a claim to make Mauricio Pochettino’s Champions League squad to face Monaco.
Attacking midfield: Kevin De Bruyne (Man City)

Old Trafford witnessed a De Bruyne masterclass on Saturday and ran United defenders ragged.
Guardiola’s trusty playmaker produced a lovely finish to open for City, was instrumental in Kelechi Iheanacho’s eventual winner and hit the post in the second-half.
The Belgium international is one of the leading lights in our Premier League team of matchweek four.
Left wing: Sadio Mane (Liverpool)

Anfield got their first glimpse of Mane in the red of Liverpool and he did not disappoint. After his £34m move from Southampton much was expected, and hasn’t wasted anytime making his mark.
In the Reds’ 4-1 over reigning league Champions Leicester City, Mane caused the Foxes problems throughout, found the net and assisted for Liverpool’s fourth.
Centre forward: Diego Costa (Chelsea)

No other player has scored more against Swansea than Costa, now with seven in four games against the Welsh outfit after bagging a brace against at the weekend.
The Spaniard is now the Premier League joint-leading scorer this campaign and looks back to his brilliant best.
Centre forward: Roberto Firmino (Liverpool)

His direct running confused Leicester and buzzed around the pitch, getting involved in everything Jurgen Klopp’s side did.
His two goals were expertly dispatched, in a performance that saw many sit up and take notice of the Merseyside club as potential title challengers.
