Another superb weekend of sport is behind us, but before we let it slip into the history books why not relive a memorable few days in image form?

The Premier League continued on matchweek five, and it was Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City that impressed most with a crushing 4-0 victory over Bournemouth, while Liverpool edged out Chelsea among many other dramatic fixtures across the country.
Henderson screamer hands Reds Friday night win

Jordan Henderson’s long-range screamer helped Liverpool earn a 2-1 Friday night football victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, with Dejan Lovren and Diego Costa having also struck in London.
De Bruyne stars as City smash Cherries

Kevin De Bruyne clinically fired in a superb free-kick and was the star of the show in Man City’s 4-0 triumph over Bournemouth at the Etihad, while Raheem Sterling, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ilkay Gundogan were on target too.
Chadli helps Baggies stun under-par Hammers

West Bromwich Albion withstood a late fightback from West Ham United to secure a 4-2 success at The Hawthorns, with summer signing Nacer Chadli bagging a brace to hand Tony Pulis’ Baggies three points.
Slimani hands champions Leicester victory

Leicester City’s recent signing Islam Slimani dispatched a double on his Premier League debut to give the champions a comfortable 3-0 triumph over Burnley. The former Sporting Lisbon frontman’s goals were the difference, while an own goal from Ben Mee helped the cause.
Arsenal gun down toothless Tigers

Hull City were thumped 4-1 by an in-form Arsenal side, as Alexis Sanchez struck twice and missed a penalty during the win, with Theo Walcott also dispatching and summer signing Granit Xhaka scoring a potential goal of the season.
Lukaku nets again as Toffees tame Boro

Everton came from a goal down to overcome Middlesbrough 3-1 at Goodison Park, with Gareth Barry striking on his 600th league appearance to help the Toffees triumph. Seamus Coleman and Romelu Lukaku were also on target to gift Ronald Koeman another win on Merseyside.
Watford stun Mourinho’s Man Utd for third straight loss

Manchester United suffered their third successive defeat at the hands of Watford, with goals from Juan Camilo Zuniga, Etienne Capoue and Troy Deeney sealing a 3-1 home triumph. Marcus Rashford was on target for the Red Devils but they endured their first fixture loss in 30 years.
Powerful Palace pile pressure on Hughes

Crystal Palace’s Scott Dann celebrates scoring his side’s second in a 4-1 rout over struggling Stoke City and under pressure manager Mark Hughes. It is the third time the Potters have conceded four goals this term and sit bottom of the league. This marked Palace’s first back-to-back league wins since last December.
Saints sink Swans

Charlie Austin applauds the St Mary’s crowd after scoring the winner against Swansea City. Southampton have now registered back-to-back wins after their 3-0 Europa League triumph over Sparta Prague.
Boxing: Canelo dethrones Smith with brutal body shot

Mexican superstar Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez stopped Liverpool’s Liam Smith with a devastating body shot in the ninth round of their meeting in Texas, as the former claimed the WBO light-middleweight crown and called for a Gennady Golovkin showdown.
F1: Rosberg reigns in Singapore to extend Championship lead

Mercedes steerer Nico Rosberg held off a late charge from Daniel Ricciardo to win his first Singapore Grand Prix and take an eight-point lead over teammate Lewis Hamilton in the Driver’s Championship standings.
