Coral’s Rumour Reel

After adding dominant Ivory Coast centre back Eric Bailly in the summer, Jose Mourinho could be about to rival Barcelona, as Marquinhos to Manchester United is linked in today’s back pages.

Marquinhos to Man Utd

The Red Devils have been consistently linked to the Brazilian defender since his days in Serie A with Roma, but January could pose a realistic chance to land the highly rated 22-year-old after reports emerged that Mourinho admires the centre back.

Marquinhos has won three consecutive Ligue 1 titles with PSG since his arrival in Paris and recently played a vital role in his nation securing their first Olympic Gold medal on home soil.

Another potential Brazilian arrival to Old Trafford could come in the form of Lucas Moura if his agent is to be believed.

Agent Wagner Ribeiro claims that Mourinho tried to sign Moura at Real Madrid and now says: “Mourinho was, and is, passionate for Lucas Moura. So much so that now at Manchester he wants Lucas as well.”

His arrival would surely spell the end of Wayne Rooney’s starting berth at United.

Liverpool dash for Dahoud

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly ready to splash the cash yet again in January with an offer to land £25m rated Mahmoud Dahoud.

Reports suggest Klopp had earmarked the 20-year-old Syrian-born German Under-21 midfielder for a summer transfer, but failed in his efforts.

Dahoud, whose deal runs out in 2018, is refusing to sign a new contract with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach and could be available this winter.

The central midfielder recorded five goals and nine assist from the middle of the park last term.

Guardiola to go for Sanchez?

Yesterday the gossip featured an intriguing potential move for Alexis Sanchez to Juventus, today the prolific Chilean is being eyed by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola – according to reports.

Sanchez played under the Catalan coach at Barcelona and, with the forward stalling over signing a new deal after protracted talks over his wage demands, could be tempted to head north in the direction of Manchester.

With both Juve and City sniffing around, Arsene Wenger may have to smash the club’s wage structure to keep Sanchez, who already has four goals and two assists to his name this campaign.
