Despite making his dream move to PSG this summer, Hatem Ben Arfa to Southampton is linked in today’s back pages after a rocky start to his career in Paris.

Ben Arfa to Southampton

The Frenchman’s surprise move to the capital city giants has reportedly already turned sour and is failing to make the matchday squads. Ben Arfa recorded 16 goals and six assists last term for Nice and resulted in an eye catching transfer to PSG.

The pair worked together at Nice and could be set for a south coast reunion.

Newcastle United’s former winger has been left out of their last three squads after failing to impress new boss Unai Emery.

However, Saints boss Claude Puel managed Ben Arfa last season at Nice, in a campaign that saw the French Riviera side qualify for the Europa League.

The pair could therefore be in line for a reunion on the English south coast, where Puel would hope to rekindle Ben Arfa’s brilliance.

Murphy twins set for Prem move?

Norwich twins Jacob and Josh Murphy are reportedly being extensively scouted by top Premier League teams, as the pair continue to impress.

The duo have scored a total of eight goals and four assists between them already this term, with Canaries manager Alex Neil now worrying over their future as the January transfer window approaches.

Josh netted a stunner in Norwich’s 2-0 win over Everton this week in the EFL Cup and caught the eye of Ronald Koeman – according to reports.

Both twins are contracted until 2017, so Neil could be forced into a deal, looking to avoid losing them for free in the summer of 2017.

Benzema finally Arsenal bound?

This has to be one of the longest rumoured moves in transfer history, but reports now suggest the Gunners may attempt to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema yet another time for £40m.

After years of speculation, Wenger could finally pull the trigger on a £40m bid.

After years of speculation, Wenger could finally pull the trigger on a £40m bid.

Arsene Wenger is thought to be a big admirer of the striker, but is notoriously unwilling to spend big. Real Madrid may also be reluctant to sell, even for a substantial offer as FIFA have slapped a transfer embargo on Los Blancos until January 2018.

Lucas Perez was Wenger’s only attacking signing this summer, after fans cried out for a top class marksman to oust Olivier Giroud from the team.
