Lisa Faulkner new favourite to present Bake Off as Mel and Sue quit

Former celebrity Masterchef winner Lisa Faulkner is the new favourite at 3-1 with bookmaker Coral to become the next presenter of The Great British Bake Off, after Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins said they would not be making the switch to Channel 4 next year.

Former Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain is the 4-1 second favourite ahead of Channel 4 regulars Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer at 6-1.

“We initially thought that Mel and Sue were almost certain to make the switch to Channel 4 and made them odds-on favourites to remain as the hosts, but their surprise decision to quit has left the field wide open with Lisa Faulkner and Nadiya Hussain the early favourites,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
