Four England v Pakistan 4th ODI tips to take

Headingley is the last place Pakistan will want to come to after England put in an extraordinary record-breaking display to seal the series, as it is the home county ground of three of the stars that featured at Trent Bridge.

Joe Root’s 85 was overshadowed by a whopping hit of 171 from Alex Hales (the highest ever for an Englishman in ODIs) and a typical Jos Buttler innings (90 off 51 balls), while Liam Plunkett and Adil Rashid took three wickets between them.

On top of that, England have won two of their three meetings against Pakistan at this ground, including last time out by four wickets.

Read on below for our top England v Pakistan 4th ODI tips…

Alex Hales to be top England batsman and they win

England v Pakistan - Royal London One Day International Series - Third One Day International - Trent Bridge

After a frustrating summer in all forms of the game for England, Hales finally found his touch and in style as he smashed Robin Smith’s 23-year-old ODI record for England by topping his 167 score against Australia.

With the Nottinghamshire batsman clearly back in form, he’ll be determined to prove it was not a one-off, and so is the subject of a Coral wincast.

Odds of 9/2 say opener Hales will get the most runs for England and they win once more.

Chris Woakes to be top England bowler

Chris Woakes boasts the best economy of any England bowler in both ODIs against Pakistan so far.

Woakes has been a revelation since being involved with England this summer and, while the batsmen took most of the plaudits at Trent Bridge, he got four wickets in just 5.4 overs.

All-rounder Woakes is a tempting 7/2 (joint second-favourite) price to be top bowler for the hosts again.

Over 8.5 sixes in match-up

South Africa England ODI Cricket

The last ODI saw England manage a whopping 16 sixes from their 444 total, while Pakistan added another five.

That means surely over 8.5 will be more than achievable at Headingley too? Why not take a punt at 11/10 therefore for there to be more than that total once again.

England to be King of the Crease

England v Pakistan - Royal London One Day International Series - Third One Day International - Trent Bridge

Finally, as England were so dominant last time out and are 3-0 up, why not back them to control at Headingley too?

With the likes of Yorkshire stars Root, Rashid, Plunkett and potentially David Willey and Jonny Bairstow for returns to the side, the hosts are well-priced to be King of the Crease.

Odds of 11/10 say that England will win, get the highest opening partnership and have the highest score after 15 overs.
