Ed Balls odds-on to be eliminated from Strictly this weekend
Ed Balls is odds-on at 4-6 with leading bookmaker Coral to be the first contestant eliminated this weekend from this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing. The former Shadow Chancellor tops the betting ahead of radio DJ Melvin Odoom who is 7-4 to be the first to be voted out, while Lesley Joseph is 10-1 to exit the show this weekend.
In the outright betting for the series, Danny Mac continues to be supported and is the 3-1 favourite to lift the Glitterball trophy, Louise Redkanpp can be backed at 9-2 and Will Young is 5-1 to go all the way.
“Danny Mac looked very comfortable on the dance floor in his opening performance last weekend and that has prompted a big gamble on the soap star going all the way on this year’s show where he is now the clear favourite to lift the Glitterball trophy,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“Sadly for Ed Balls, the betting suggests his participation on this year’s series is not going to last any longer than this weekend as he is odds-on to be the first contestant eliminated,” added Hill.
