Coral’s bet of the day

  • West Bromwich Albion have met Torquay twice before
  • Both those games ended in a 1-0 victory to each side
  • The Baggies are aiming to find form ahead of the new Premier League term
  • The visitors have won two pre-season games by a single goal this summer

Baggies 13/2 to topple Torquay on travels

Another month may have passed this year but Coral are still producing the goods, and we kick off August with another promising bet of the day to help customers beat the Monday blues!

The new 2016/17 Premier League season is almost upon us and West Bromwich Albion are busy preparing for the campaign with pre-season friendlies this summer.

Plymouth Argyle v West Bromwich Albion - Pre-Season Friendly - Home Park

Next up for them is Torquay United, and Tony Pulis’ men can be backed at a tasty 13/2 to topple their non-league opponents 1-0 tonight.

West Brom may have been expected to hand the National League side a thrashing, with this being a clash between top-flight and fifth tier clubs, but the Baggies are still finding their groove. so read on to find out why they could edge narrowly past Torquay this time out.

Albion sneaking by this summer

After being disappointingly relegated from League Two during the 2013/14 campaign, Torquay have been contesting in the National League, and Kevin Nicholson’s side haven’t showed much signs of encouragement in pre-season this summer.

Plymouth Argyle v West Bromwich Albion - Pre-Season Friendly - Home Park

So far the Gulls have been held to draws with both Plymouth Argyle and Bath City, while they managed to edge out Truro City 3-2, having also conceded a worrying seven goals across those three outings.

West Brom have been far from clinical though, narrowly beating both Kidderminster and Vitesse Arnhem by a single goal before being held to a scoreless draw by Plymouth. These two clubs have met twice before, with both encounters having ended in close 1-0 victories for either side.

With that previous history and recent form from both teams, expect the Baggies to edge out their latest summer rivals 1-0, in a result which can be backed at 13/2 as Coral’s latest bet of the day!
