SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Leading bookmaker Coral make Usain Bolt odds-on at 8-11 to race at the Olympics in Tokyo in 2020 after he won 200m gold last night in Rio. The Jamaican sprinter is 3-1 to win gold in either the 100m or 200m in Tokyo, while he is 16-1 to do the 100m and 200m double once again in four years’ time.

Bolt is the warm odds-on favourite at 1-10 to be the BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year for 2016, an award he won in 2008, 2009 and 2012.

“Usain Bolt has not ruled out racing in Tokyo in four years’ time and his fans can take even further encouragement from the betting as he is odds-on to compete in the 2020 Olympics and 6-4 to win a gold medal in any event in Japan,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“No sportsperson in history has won the BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year four times, however, Bolt is long odds-on to make history by doing so later this year following his double sprint gold in Rio,” added Hill.
