Coral’s bet of the day

  • Celtic take on Motherwell in Scottish League Cup last 16
  • New signing Scott Sinclair made dream start in debut
  • The winger netted the winner over Hearts last time out
  • Sinclair will look to add to instant impact in League Cup

Sinclair 4/1 to score first Celtic goal

Scott Sinclair made a dream start to his Celtic career as he struck a late winner over Hearts on his debut for the Scottish Premiership champions, and he is now 4/1 to open the scoring for the Bhoys against Motherwell as Coral’s bet of the day.

Heart of Midlothian v Celtic - Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership - Tynecastle

The former Swansea City and Manchester City wideman was snapped up by new Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers this summer on a four-year deal from Aston Villa, and he made an instant impact by bagging an 81st minute winner over Hearts last time out.

Sinclair stated that he was encouraged to sign for the Scottish champions by club legend Stiliyan Petrov, who also spent time in the Premier League with Villa, as well as the prospect of linking up with Rodgers for a third time.

Both Rodgers and Sinclair worked together in the Chelsea youth ranks and at Swansea, and the new Bhoys midfielder will now look to kick on in this next Scottish League Cup last 16 clash with Motherwell at Parkhead.

New Bhoy seeks further scoring success

The former Premier League winger clinically tucked away a precise pass from Scotland international frontman Leigh Griffiths to hand Celtic a 2-1 victory on his debut, swiftly opening his Bhoys account.

Sinclair had only arrived in Glasgow for a medical 24 hours before the game at Tynecastle and, now at the 14th club of his career, he wants to remain at Parkhead for some time for a sense of stability.

Linking up with a manager that knows exactly how to utilise his attacking traits will surely bring the best out of the former England Under-21 international, who also represented Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics.

Next up is a home debut on the green half of Glasgow, and Sinclair will look to endear himself further to the passionate Parkhead support with further scoring success. So make sure to back Sinclair to score first at a promising 4/1 against Motherwell!
