Coral’s Rumour Reel
Transfer deadline day is finally here and it promises to be full of twists and turns, with Jack Wilshere to Crystal Palace and Isco to Tottenham just some of the names linked in today’s back pages.
Clubs will be frantically ringing agents, clubs and players in search of a marquee signing to appease fans. If you want to keep up to date with the latest news, be sure to head over to our deadline day transfer blog.
Wilshere to Palace
Yesterday reports emerged that Arsene Wenger would be willing to let Wilshere leave on loan to gain valuable first team experience, after numerous injury plagued campaigns.
While Arsenal reportedly favour a move abroad because of the less physical play on the continent, with Portuguese giants Benfica and sporting Lisbon linked, Wilshere is thought to want to stay in England and is weighing up offers from Palace and Bournemouth.
According to reports, Eagles boss Alan Pardew held face-to-face talks with the England international and, with Wilshere keen to stay in London, looks the most likely destination.
The Selhurst Park side would pay a loan fee and most of his £80k-a-week wages – reports suggest.
Spurs eye Isco loan move
Spurs are reportedly eyeing an audacious loan move for unwanted Real Madrid playmaker Isco. The Spain international will find his playing opportunities limited this term, with James Rodriguez and Marco Asensio all ahead of the former Malaga maestro in the pecking order.
Mauricio Pochettino reportedly phoned 24-year-old Isco to persuade the silky smooth midfielder, and favours a loan deal to White Hart Lane to see whether he settles in before buying. However, Los Blancos want to offload him permanently this summer.
Tottenham have also been linked to Schalke starlet Max Meyer following fine performances at the Olympics for Germany. However, the club have slapped a huge £38m price tag on the youngster to deter Spurs’ admiring glances.
Bony Potters bound
Stoke City have reportedly snared Manchester City hitman Wilfried Bony on loan until the end of the season.
The Former Swansea star has struggled since his big money move to the Sky Blues and was keen to pursue options away for the Etihad in order to get first team opportunities.

The Ivory Coast striker has finished the formalities to join up with Mark Hughes’ squad, according to reports. Despite this, Hughes is continuing to look to strengthen his forward line and has West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino in his sights.
Another arrival we look set to see is Dutch defender Bruno Martins Indi from Porto. The centre back is in Staffordshire and will reportedly take a medical early today.
