Coral’s rumour reel

Today’s tabloids are awash with Tottenham transfer rumours, with Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko supposedly the centre of attention and a player swap potentially on the cards.

While, after losing Lewis Cook, Leeds United could see another young-gun in Charlie Taylor leave for the Premier League, as West Bromwich Albion circle.

Read on to find out about these rumours and much more…

Spurs in player swap for Sissoko?

Despite having already added engine room dynamo Victor Wanyama to his midfield roster, Tottenham tactician Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly still in the market for another man in midfield.

Relegated Newcastle have managed to cling onto some big name players so far despite their drop into the Championship, but could they be tempted to sell to Spurs in a player swap for Sissoko?

The adaptable France international can cover many roles and tasks across the pitch, which would make him a useful squad player for the London club alongside energetic Wanyama, silky shield Eric Dier, box-to-box Moussa Dembele, playmaker Christian Eriksen and goal threat Dele Alli.

Potentially headed in the other direction to St James’ Park, as a sweetner for Sissoko’s services in a player plus cash deal, may be 21-year-old Nabil Bentaleb. The Algerian talent has spades of potential but has not yet kicked on and could find more game time in the Northeast.

While, another Spurs starlet set for a White Hart Lane exit could be academy product Ryan Mason, with the England capped midfielder having slipped down the pecking order and apparently of interest to Hull City, who have picked up several Tottenham players over the years.

Leeds’ Taylor to West Brom?

Leeds fans may want to look away now as, after seeing midfield all-rounder Cook depart to Bournemouth and Sam Byram swap Elland Road for West Ham United in recent transfer windows, another bright young thing could soon leave the Yorkshire club.

Left back Charlie Taylor to West Brom is the rumour doing the rounds this morning, with a fee of £7m mooted for the full back, though fellow Premier League sides Liverpool, Burnley and Middlesbrough have also been linked in the last few days.

The 22-year-old York-born defender has been one of Leeds’ top performers across the last two terms, and can also play further forward on the flank. But, despite being an academy graduate, Taylor could find a move to the top-tier too tempting, as Tony Pulis tries to make last minute additions at Albion.
