Lineker odds-on to wear blue underpants on Match of the Day

| 11.08.2016

Leading bookmaker Coral has seen a gamble on Gary Lineker’s pants being blue when he presents the opening Match of The Day of the new season this Saturday in just his underwear alone. The firm is now odds-on at 4-6 that the pants are blue after cutting the odds from 2-1 due to a flurry of bets.

Coral is offering 6-4 that Lineker opts for Oddballs branded multi-colured pants for the Match of the Day opener, they go 8-1 that the pants are black, while white is in the betting at 12-1.

“Never has the colour of someone’s underpants attracted as many bets before but given millions of people are set to tune in to the opening Match of the Day of the new season to see Gary Lineker fulfil his promise of wearing just his grundies, it has sparked a huge betting frenzy on what colour they will be,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“The betting suggests Lineker will honour Leicester’s Premier League success by wearing blue pants and punters agree as over 70% of the bets we have taken on the market so far have been for them to be in the colour of the Foxes,” added Hill.
