Leading bookmaker Coral is betting on who Darren Clarke will name as his three wild cards next Tuesday ahead of the 41st Ryder Cup from Hazeltine National Golf Club, Minnesota. Englishman, Lee Westwood is 1-10 to be handed a place by Europe’s captain, Martin Kaymer is as short as 1-20 to be in the squad again, while Scotland’s Russell Knox is odds-on at 4-6.

USA are the 4-6 favourite with Coral to win the 2016 Ryder Cup, while Europe are 13-8 to be victorious in the competition for the fourth consecutive time.

“The betting suggests Darren Clarke is likely to go with the experience of Martin Kaymer and Lee Westwood when he names his wild cards next Tuesday, while Russell Knox is also odds-on to be part of the European squad to travel to the States,” said Coral’s John Hill.

1-20 Martin Kaymer, 1-10 Lee Westwood, 4-6 Russell Knox, 15-8 Graeme McDowell, 5 Thomas Pieters, 8 Luke Donald, 16 Shane Lowry, 20 Bar.
