Chris Froome is even money with leading bookmaker Coral to win gold for Great Britain in tomorrow’s men’s time trial in Rio. The British cyclist won his third Tour de France title earlier this year and is 9-1 with the firm to be named the 2016 BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

In the men’s K1 canoe slalom, Great Britain’s Joseph Clarke is 5-1 to win the gold medal in the event tomorrow evening,  British pair Chris Mears and Jack Laugher are 16-1 to cause an upset in the men’s synchronised 3m springboard, while Max Whitlock can be backed at 16-1 to win the men’s artistic individual all around-final.

“Although he failed to make the podium for the men’s road race, Froome’s best chance of a medal in Rio was always the time trial where he is the hot favourite to win gold to add to his Tour de France title in 2016,” said Coral’s John Hill.
