Bet of the day: Granada to sink Sevilla and both sides score in friendly clash
Lee Gormley | August 2, 2016
Coral’s bet of the day
- Both sides have scored in a Granada win in the last two meetings
- Sevilla have not beaten Granada since January last year
- The hosts thrashed the Bathtubs 4-1 last season on their travels
- Sevilla are still acclimatising after high-profile departures this summer
Granada 9/2 to beat Sevilla and both sides score
Coral’s latest bet of the day comes from a tasty all-Spanish pre-season encounter, as La Liga clubs Granada and Sevilla battle it out at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes ahead of the new top-flight campaign.
It’s the hosts Granada that we focus on, with the Nazaries available at a promising 9/2 to overcome their Spanish rivals Sevilla and both sides to get on the scoresheet in this friendly clash.
Both top tier teams are hoping to gain momentum ahead of La Liga kicking off for the 2016/17 term, with Granada beginning their latest campaign against Villarreal and Sevilla starting proceedings in a meeting with Espanyol on August 20th.
Granada to sink Bathtubs in friendly
Last season the Andalusians finished seventh in La Liga, but their upcoming opponents Granada managed to secure impressive back-to-back domestic victories at home and the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, with the two sides scoring on both occasions.
After battling to a 2-1 home fixture triumph, Granada then rallied to a comfortable 4-1 thrashing of the Bathtubs in May this year, and they are now unbeaten in three meetings with the Seville based outfit.
Now, under the guidance of newly appointed boss Paco Jemez, the hosts will look to continue their strong fixture run, having not been toppled in this match-up since January last year and haven’t tasted a league defeat to their rivals since November 2014.
With Sevilla still acclimatising to a host of high-profile summer departures, including former successful coach Unai Emery to PSG, back Granada to secure a third successive fixture win with both sides scoring at 9/2!
