Bookmaker Coral go 1-5 that Mo Farah is knighted in the New Year Honours list, after he secured a “double double” by winning gold in the 5,000m at Rio 2016 on Saturday. Farah’s odds have since been slashed to win this year’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year award to 5-2 from 5-1.

Meanwhile, Coral go 8-1 that the world’s most successful distance runner does the 5k/10k double in Tokyo and 1-2 that he does it in London at the 2017 World Championships.

“As the world’s most successful distance runner in terms of major medals, we are convinced that Mo Farah will become a Sir in the Queen’s New Years Honours list,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
