Coral’s rumour reel

The summer transfer market is in full swing, with a host of Premier League clubs having got plenty of business done swiftly, while the Euro 2016 finalists have been decided across the Channel on French soil.

Read on to see which players are being lined up for summer switches to the Premier League and across the rest of the continent, after France secured a final showdown with Portugal on Sunday, in Coral’s latest rumour reel…

Reds hopeful over Blaszczykowski capture

The 2016/17 Premier League season is shaping up to be an epic, with a host of new managers taking their seats in the top-flight dugouts, including Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola, while Jurgen Klopp will take charge of his first full term at Anfield.

Switzerland v Poland - UEFA Euro 2016 - Round of 16 - Stade Geoffroy-Guichard

Liverpool’s German boss is reportedly hoping to secure a reunion with former Borussia Dortmund player Jakub Blaszczykowski this summer, after the Poland wideman enjoyed an impressive Euro 2016 campaign for his nation in France, where they reached the last 16.

The 30-year-old spent last season on loan in Serie A with Fiorentina, netting on two occasions from 18 appearances in all competitions, and a switch to the red half of Merseyside could be on the cards if Dortmund can’t accommodate him next campaign.

Blaszczykowski has featured for the Black and Yellows 252 times in his career since joining back in 2007, firing in 32 goals from the wide areas, and his attacking traits could soon be on display at Anfield if Klopp gets his way this summer.

Arsenal gunning for Draxler

Arsene Wenger is still hoping to bolster his Arsenal side ahead of next term and the Frenchman has set his sights on Germany winger Julian Draxler, having reportedly launched a £40m bid for the Wolfsburg wonderkid.

Germany vs. Italy

The 22-year-old was a key component for Germany as they reached the Euro 2016 semi-finals, only to be outdone by hosts France, as the Gunners hope to avoid missing out their target again, having failed to acquire him last summer.

Draxler had been approached by the Premier League outfit but instead joined Wolfsburg from Schalke, remaining in the Bundesliga for another term, but he could yet arrive at the Emirates in the coming weeks.

Promising wideman Draxler netted 10 times last season after arriving at the Volkswagen Arena, forcing himself into Joachim Low’s Die Mannschaft side for the France finals, and may now be on the move again to London.

Boro battling for Subotic signing

Having already snapped up World Cup winning goalkeeper Victor Valdes, newly-promoted Middlesbrough are now aiming to boost their defensive ranks further with the capture of Borussia Dortmund centre back Nevan Subotic.

Boro are hoping they can agree a season-long loan deal for the German defender, with boss Aitor Karanka reportedly holding talks with the 27-year-old Serbian, who has endured a couple of injury plagued seasons in Germany.

Subotic forged a formidable partnership with new Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels previously under Klopp’s Blacks and Yellows reign, but is now keen on a switch to England, with Stoke City and Sunderland also interested in his services.

The Teesiders would secure a massive coup in acquiring such an esteemed centre back ahead of their return to the Premier League, with Subotic having won two Bundesliga crowns and struck two goals in 36 international caps for Serbia.
