Coral’s bet of the day

  • Premier League champions Leicester face Oxford Utd in friendly
  • Foxes had joint second-best defensive record last season

  • They tackle Hull in their 2016/17 top-flight opener on August 13th
  • Celtic, PSG and Barcelona also lie in wait this summer for pre-season

Leicester 19/10 to beat Oxford to nil

After a remarkable Premier League title triumph last season, champions Leicester City are hoping to gain momentum ahead of next term by getting some solid friendly performances under their belt this summer.

The surprise top-flight conquerors face a trip to Oxford United tonight, ahead of further pre-season friendly encounters against Celtic, PSG and Barcelona later on, and feature in Coral’s latest bet of the day at 19/10 to win to nil in this away outing.

Claudio Ranieri’s men tackle last term’s FA Cup winners Manchester United, now under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, on August 7th in the annual Community Shield, while their title defence begins six days later against newly promoted Hull City.

So, ahead of a campaign which will see the Foxes competing in the Champions League, as well as trying to provide a respectable follow up to last season’s incredible success, Leicester will hope to first overcome Oxford and gain some decent form.

Foxes gunning for friendly success

The champions recent lost last term’s star midfielder N’Golo Kante to top-flight rivals Chelsea, but they still possess England international frontman Jamie Vardy, while 2016 PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez is still on their books, for now at least.

As well as the usual faces, Leicester fans may witness a host of new signings in action, with Nampalys Mendy, Ron-Robert Zieler, Luis Hernandez, Raul Uche Rubio and Ahmed Musa having all arrived at the King Power Stadium so far this summer.

The Foxes finishes last season with the joint second-best defensive record domestically, making their bet of the day price of 19/10 highly promising. So make sure not to miss out on Tuesday’s terrific offering!
